Powered Straighteners are utilized to remove coil curvature (coil set) as well as maintaining the proper loop storage necessary for a feed-to-stop stamping or other process within a roll forming system. Straighteners are available in a variety of designs from five-roll to twenty-one roll configurations with capacities ranging from .040” through .375” gauge thickness and 6” through 84” material widths. Special application straighteners are also available.

Powered Straightener Standard Features: 

  • Seven hardened and ground straightener rolls
  • Screw jack adjustments of all upper straightener rolls
  • Entry and exit pinch rolls are hardened, ground and matte chrome finished
  • Air operated upper entry and exit pinch rolls adjustments
  • Heavy duty edge guides and exit cascade rollers
  • Entry and exit funnel guards for safety and threading
  • Inclined or horizontal straightening head configuration
  • AC variable frequency drive system
  • Centralized lubrication system

Pull Through Straighteners 
  
Pull-Through Straighteners are ideally suited for applications where looping pits are not required, yet coil set must be removed. Configured with five, seven or nine rolls, these pull-through straighteners also include a driven pinch roll that permits threading of the coil through the straighteners. The driven pinch roll is disengaged once the material enters the roll forming mill.
