This thru-spindle model was built especially for the profile that has a variety of overall widths, such as drywall studs, door panels, etc. This model has three outstanding features over previous panel mills. First, with the use of solid telescoping spindles and fully supported heavy outboard housing, you can obtain an enormous strength advantage over conventional, unsupported, overhung stub-type machines.
Second, width changes can be obtained simply by a turn of a crank or the push of a button. This can reduce tooling changeover time to minutes. (The Series F Panel Mill can be made with one or both sides adjustable.) The third feature is lower cost. Since this model has only one bank of drive housings versus the two banks required for the old design panel mill, this model is much less expensive. Ardcor is the “run source” for one-source buying of roll forming equipment.
Specifications:
ARDCOR self-contained drive stands with individual oil supply permit quick removal and rearrangement of units without having to drain oil from all units. Double bearing support on both top and bottom spindles of drive unit gives added rigidity and lasting alignment. Individual worm shaft drive features chain type couplings for linking units together. Worm gears are made of high quality gear bronze for longer life.
Gearing arrangement keeps gear train in mesh through complete range of vertical shaft adjustment for different roll diameters. Roll spindles and worm shafts are precision machined and ground from high quality steel, carburized and hardened… provide a hard, wear-resistant outer case and an extremely tough core for increased life and lasting accuracy. Outboard housings are positioned along length of roll spindles.
Optional Features:
Extra base length is available as part of original equipment to increase machine capacity at a future date. Complete line of auxiliary items available, such as adjustable entry tables, adjustable side roll stands, straightener units, etc., to further improve any roll forming operation.
