The keys to a high quality and performance set of roll tooling are
:

• Proper design
• Quality tool steels and alternative materials
• Precision workmanship and manufacturing processes
• Testing and Technical Support
• Training

We apply both experience and the latest technologies in all of the following areas:

  • Our designs are developed using a large data-base of technical information and state-of-the-art software to both engineer and simulate the tooling set prior to manufacturing.
  • Only at Roll-Kraft will your design include a Finite Element Analysis at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE (some limitations apply). This is a valuable tool when there are specialized applications and will minimize guesswork and potential trouble areas of the design.
  • Our manufacturing facilities boast highly trained personnel, top quality equipment and proven machining practices. We are ISO 9001-2000 Certified and focus on continuous improvements. We manufacture rolls from various tool steels, powdered metals, nylons and carbide materials for economy, special applications and durability.
  • Our skilled tryout and technical service teams are essential for both pre-testing your tooling and providing on-site support and operator training.
Special Materials:

Soft Urethane - This material is used when grip is needed and the product surface cannot be crushed back flat. An example of this is perforated or louvered tubing.

Urethane Bottom Breakdown Roll

Nylon - Nylon is used when the surface condition of the final product is crucial and no other material will suffice. Dead soft aluminum and some stainless steel applications benefit from this quality and can be made completely mark free.

Ampco - Ampco is used in areas where marking is critical and more wear that nylon is required. It commonly used in stainless steel applications as well as for weld rolls due to it's non-magnetic properties and is available in different grades and harnesses.

Ampco Bronze Weld Rolls

CPM10V and A11 - These materials are used when longer roll life than D2 is needed and can applied in many areas. They have worked very well bead rolling and hammering operations in stainless steel tube and pipe. In carbon steel it can last two to three times longer than D2 in certain areas.
