Normally, roll marks are due to the speed difference from the throat (root) diameter, which is the smallest diameter of the roll and also the drive point. This point on the roll is turning faster than the largest diameter of the roll, which causes roll marks on your tube and pipe products. Marking is not as noticeable on smaller tubing. However, it is very noticeable on pipe.
