The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for originating and leading Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Recruit, identify, evaluate, interview and onboard new hires for open positions at all locations.
Continuously recruit and develop candidate pool for all positions for succession planning.
Ensure all employment practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Process and maintain leave requests such as absences, vacation, FMLA, workers compensation, ADA
Develop and maintain compensation data and information to process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now payroll and timekeeping products.
Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
Spearhead safety programs, processes, and initiatives to comply with OSHA requirements for all locations.
Perform plan administrator duties for retirement plan including documentation, processing of transactions, audit lead, plan updates and enhancements.
Lead the implementation and drive completion of quarterly success evaluations.
Identify opportunities for improvement of HR policies and programs to resolve problems and create positive employee satisfaction.
Conduct periodic feedback meetings to ensure employee satisfaction and employee engagement.
Continuously stay apprised of new developments, legal/compliance requirements, and trends in HR, benefits, and compensation policies and programs.
Secure and maintain all employee records including personnel, insurance, medical, workers compensation, training, and disciplinary actions.
Travel company locations as required.
Bachelor’ degree in Business Management or Human Resources.
5+ years in role as Human Resources Manager
Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
Superior knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, safety, employee engagement and development, including but not limited to compliance, federal and state regulations, and required reporting for OSHA, FMLA, DOL, ERISA, ADA, EEO and workers compensation.
Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other HR recognition and employee engagement programs and processes.
In depth experience negotiating and securing benefit such as group insurance and retirement plans.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Expert knowledge processing payroll using ADP payroll and timekeeping software.
