Roll-Kraft is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Lowery to Vice President of Roll Form Applications. Mr. Lowery has been with Roll-Kraft for 19 years, and has 29 years of experience in the tube and pipe and roll form industry.
He attended Lorain County Community College, where he completed classes in mechanical design engineering, and has various certificates of achievement in the fields of tube and pipe and roll forming. Prior to joining Roll-Kraft, his 10 years of experience included working as a lead setup technician, operating a tube mill, a millwright, and gaining a vast background of knowledge.
Lowery will continue to manage the building, assembly, and final testing and tryout of equipment and tooling, along with scheduling and providing service and training to Roll-Kraft customers. He is often on-site at various locations, troubleshooting mill and tooling issues, checking setups, and testing, to improve the operation of the customers’ mills. Each service visit is followed by a detailed report, outlining specific recommendations.
In addition, he assists Roll-Kraft sales personnel in identifying and quoting the needed upgrades and alterations in order to accelerate the process of returning to full production, which is the paramount goal of every tube and pipe and roll forming product manufacturer.
Lowery is currently involved with Roll-Kraft engineers in product development and the design of custom tooling required by Roll-Kraft customers. This often includes the use of COPRA FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software, which provides a virtual rendering of the newly designed tooling in operation. It allows needed modifications of the design to be made prior to manufacturing, thus saving time and effort, and serves as an integral part of the process at Roll Kraft, ensuring first-time performance and on-time delivery.
Roll-Kraft leads the nation in the design, training, service, and manufacturing of tooling to produce tube and pipe and roll formed products. The company was formed in 1963 and has continued to grow and expand through the years and now includes facilities in Mentor, OH (Roll-Kraft), Lombard, IL (Chicago Roll), and Ontario, Canada (Roll-Kraft Ltd.)
